Anniversary weekend!

Ben and I are back from our weekend getaway vacation and it was quite nice and relaxing! I didn't take nearly as many photos as I thought I would, mostly because it was such a low key weekend. Here are just a few...

Hiking in Indian Canyons

Hanging out with our dog Rita (yes she came along for the ride). This photo was shot with my new favorite toy, and anniversary present, my 85mm 1.8. What better way to test it than with some dog portraits :)

And I couldn't resist posting a shot of this... the coolest card/present ever made. Ben took our wedding photos and made them into an amazingly awesome comic book using InDesign. Such a creative fellow... and I absolutely love my book! Just right for the paper anniversary!

And of course what better way to celebrate than with year old cake and champagne? We saved the top layer of our wedding cake and it tasted surprisingly not old for how long it had been in the freezer. I wouldn't suggest it on regular occasions but this one time it was kind of fun.

Mostly we just sat around relaxing... but can you blame us when this was the view?

And lastly a couple shots of the wind farms on the was back to LA. I've always wanted to stop and take some nice photos of these but I don't know of anywhere near there that you can pull off the highway. Maybe someday we'll figure it out but for now a couple of shots I grabbed while we sped by at 80mph :)
